PSL 2026 Schedule Announced: Faisalabad and Peshawar to Host HBL PSL Matches for the First Time

The Pakistan Super League has officially revealed the PSL 2026 Schedule, marking an exciting new chapter for the tournament. The 11th edition of the league will feature 44 matches over 39 days, running from 26 March to 3 May 2026, across six major cricket venues in Pakistan.

For the first time in league history, Faisalabad and Peshawar will host PSL matches, expanding the tournament’s reach to new cricket-loving cities.

Eight Teams to Compete in PSL 2026

The PSL 2026 schedule also introduces an expanded competition format with eight participating teams. Two new franchises have joined the league:

• Hyderabad Kingsmen
• Rawalpindi Pindiz

These teams were added after the latest franchise auction, where Hyderabad Kingsmen were acquired for PKR 175 crore, while Rawalpindi Pindiz were purchased for PKR 245 crore.

The eight teams participating in PSL 2026 are:

• Hyderabad Kingsmen
• Islamabad United
• Karachi Kings
• Lahore Qalandars
• Multan Sultans
• Peshawar Zalmi
• Quetta Gladiators
• Rawalpindi Pindiz

Each team will play 10 matches in the group stage, with the top four teams advancing to the playoffs.

PSL 2026 Playoffs and Final

According to the PSL 2026 schedule, the knockout stage will begin on 28 April, featuring:

• Qualifier 1
• Eliminator
• Qualifier 2
• Final

The grand final will take place at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Sunday, 3 May 2026, with 4 May reserved as a backup day in case of weather interruptions.

Opening Match of PSL 2026

The tournament will kick off on 26 March 2026 at Gaddafi Stadium, where Lahore Qalandars will face the newly introduced Hyderabad Kingsmen in the opening match.

Gaddafi Stadium will host the highest number of matches during the tournament, with 15 games, including the opening match and the final.

Faisalabad and Peshawar Join PSL Venues

One of the biggest highlights of the PSL 2026 schedule is the inclusion of two new cities.

Faisalabad – Iqbal Stadium

Iqbal Stadium will host seven PSL matches for the first time in the tournament’s history. Defending champions Lahore Qalandars are scheduled to play four matches at this venue.

The first match in Faisalabad will take place on 9 April, featuring Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United.

Peshawar – Imran Khan Cricket Stadium

Imran Khan Cricket Stadium (formerly Arbab Niaz Stadium) will also host PSL matches for the first time.

The venue will stage its first PSL match on 28 March, where Peshawar Zalmi will face Rawalpindi Pindiz.

Other PSL 2026 Venues

The PSL 2026 schedule includes matches across several major stadiums in Pakistan:

• Multan Cricket Stadium – 4 matches featuring Multan Sultans
• National Bank Stadium – 6 matches including games for Karachi Kings
• Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium – 11 matches including a Qualifier playoff

Rawalpindi will also host two double-headers during the tournament.

Double-Headers in PSL 2026

The PSL 2026 schedule includes 12 double-header matchdays, giving fans the opportunity to enjoy two matches in a single day.

Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore will host three double-headers, making it one of the busiest venues of the tournament.

New Rivalries to Watch

With the addition of new teams, PSL 2026 will also bring fresh rivalries. One of the most anticipated matchups will be between Hyderabad Kingsmen and Karachi Kings, scheduled for 11 April in Karachi.

Fans can also expect exciting clashes between Islamabad United and Rawalpindi Pindiz, who will face each other twice during the group stage.

Media Accreditation for PSL 2026

The Pakistan Cricket Board has opened the media accreditation process for PSL 2026. Journalists registered on the PCB’s accreditation portal can submit their applications online.

Due to limited seating in press boxes, priority will be given to local journalists covering matches in their respective cities.
